The students of the first edition of the PILLAI/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management were taken for a field visit to the Star Sports Studios in Lower Parel, Mumbai on the 9th of November 2019. The students got a behind the scenes look at the production process of the pre and post-match shows of cricket and football matches. The students were quite impressed with the state of the art facilities and technologies used at Star Sports and some were able to get demos of the Augmented Reality technologies used at Star. The tour of the studios was conducted by Mr. Sameer Dutt (Senior Manager – Studio Operations) and Mr. Jeenesh Kothari (Assistant Manager – Studio Operations) from Star India. The students also had the privilege of interacting with Indian Super League Commentators Mr. Paul Masefield and Anant Tyagi while the ATK vs Jamshedpur FC ISL match was going on.
