The FIFA/CIES International Programme in Sports Management provides training in 6 essential fields of sports management, namely sports event management, finance, communication, management, sports law, and marketing/sponsorship. Each of the six modules will comprise approximately 25 hours of teaching and learning activities, to be completed over one academic year.
The part-time nature of the course is to encourage working participants to enroll for the course so that they can take some time off their work to attend the classes and then return to their work. Mentoring and continuous guidance and online classes between blocks will ensure continuity of the certification programme, thus ensuring its effectiveness.
The mode of delivery for 2023-2024 will be by way of a block release system where students are required to attend classes at Pillai Institute of Management Studies & Research for a block of nine (9) days (Saturday to Sunday) at three different times in 2023-2024 and the fourth block of five days in June 2024.
The FIFA/CIES International Programme in India is meant to be an in-classroom course since we believe that live interactions and discussions between faculty and students are of utmost importance. Participants are required to attend classes at Pillai Institute of Management Studies in Navi Mumbai, India. The 2020-21 academic session, unfortunately, had to be conducted completely online due to the coronavirus pandemic. We will be going back to the physical mode of classes moving forward so that students can get the most out of the course.
