FIFA/CIES International University Network was founded in 2004. It brings together universities from all over the world. Its key objective, with the support of its academic partners, is to improve the skills of sports managers at the level of federations, clubs, small sports associations, government and municipal entities.
For that purpose, the network has created one common curriculum of continuing education, the FIFA/CIES International Programme in Sports Management, taught at all the partner universities. Moreover, ad hoc seminars and conferences devoted to essential themes for effective sport management are regularly organised in the framework of the FIFA/CIES University Network.
We develop cooperation based on academic excellence, an open-minded approach to the world and respect for our partners. We are considered as exemplary and reliable “fellow team members” throughout the world.
The FIFA/CIES International University Network creates and develops partnerships in the field of sport management, with a constant focus on excellence. Our ambition is to be recognized as a reference in education thanks to the quality of our academic and administrative contributions, our desire to understand the real needs of our partners and to offer concrete solutions, and our commitment to respect and honesty in our relationships.
- To be a reference in academic training in the field of sport management;
- To be open to the world and its diversity;
- To be responsive to our partners (universities, students, sports institutions) and to stay in constant dialogue with them.
In the framework of the FIFA/CIES International Programme in Sports Management, the FIFA/CIES University Network offers universal course content on sport management. The partner universities are responsible for adapting the content to national needs, realities, and specificities so as to maximise the benefits of the curriculum. Moreover, the FIFA/CIES University Network offers a series of conferences by reputed professors and experts in the sports industry, in order to give students an international perspective on sports-related issues.
