Soumitra Bose is a veteran journalist specializing in content strategy and its management in an integrated environment. With more than three decades of high quality experience across print, broadcast and digital platforms, he has worked in senior executive and leadership roles at major media houses like Times of India, Hindustan Times, ESPN-Star Sports and NDTV.
He is currently engaged in revamping the digital operations across Outlook India’s products on news, tourism, money etc. A stickler for processes, he mixes time tested tactics in a fast-changing media world and helps monetise content. His ability to liaise with corporate and government stakeholders makes him one of a kind in India’s large media landscape.
His tremendous experience has exposed him to some of the biggest sporting events in the world such as the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, 2012 Olympics in London, multiple Cricket World Cups and the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok. Well respected by world sports bodies, he is a jury member of the Laureus World Sports Awards and sits on several panels, including the Union Sports Ministry.
