Namrata Chatterjee is a FIFA Master and has done her B.A.LLB (Hons) from National Law University, Jodhpur with a specialization in Intellectual Property Rights. A sports lawyer, she is currently the League Secretary – Indian Super League, a position she has held since 2020. She is also the regional co-ordinator for India for Women in Sports Law (WISLaw). Prior to this she was the Legal Counsel and Legal Consultant, Sports Legal Unit, Disciplinary and Governance – Asian Football Confederation from 2017 to December 2019. She graduated from the 16th edition of the FIFA Master Program with merit. Prior to pursuing masters in management, law and humanities of sport, she worked in India’s premier law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (Formerly Amarchand Mangaldas Suresh A. Shroff & Co.) from 2013 to June 2015. She is dedicated towards sports and sports law and always on the lookout for various opportunities to contribute in the further development of this niche area of law. She covers topics in the Law Module at the PILLAI/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management.
