Dheeraj Malhotra – PILLAI/FIFA/CIES INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMME IN SPORTS MANAGEMENT

Mr. Dheeraj Malhotra is currently the General Manager – Game Development of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He replaced former India cricketer Saba Karim when he took the role in February 2021. Dheeraj Malhotra was the CEO of the JSW & GMR co-owned IPL franchise, Delhi Capitals. He was announced as the CEO in February 2019, after the franchise underwent a revamp and the team achieved great success on the field during his 2 years in charge.

A seasoned sports administrator, Mr. Malhotra has diversified experience of more than 24 years that includes working with International Cricket Council (ICC), Wasserman Media Group (WMG), and International Management Group (IMG) among others.

His first association with IPL was in 2008 when he was appointed as Tournament Director. He has held similar positions in Indian Super League (ISL), Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) and has also served as an Advisor to the Hockey India League. Mr. Malhotra also served the Indian Army and was awarded Shaurya Chakra by the President of India in 1999 for his role in rescue operations in Kashmir.
