Closing Ceremony of the First Edition of the PILLAI/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme
The Closing Ceremony of the first edition of the PILLAI/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management was conducted online on the 12th of September 2020 almost exactly a year after the Opening Ceremony that was conducted in very different circumstances.
When we started off the journey back on September 14, 2019, little did we know that this year would turn out the way it did? What was supposed to be the final academic block of 4 days in March turned into a final block spread over many months because of the Covid 19 pandemic. There were many ups and downs that arose from the Coronavirus situation but the students kept at it and in the end, successfully completed all the requirements of the course.
Mr. Vincent Monnier, Senior Manager, International Relations of CIES and Dr. Shaji Prabhakaran, the President of Football Delhi and CIES Coordinator for India were present as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour for the event respectively.
Hearty Congratulations to everyone who graduated and we wish our participants all the very best in their journey towards changing the landscape of Indian and World Sports for the better.
