Martin Kaswurm the CEO & Founder of Austrian Based Sports Event Management Company, Chaka2 was the esteemed speaker at the CIES Conference that was held on Sunday, 17th April, 2022. Mr Kaswurm is a FIFA Master and has an EMBA from the prestigious Harvard Business School. He is also a serial investor who has invested in many startups across Europe.
Mr. Kaswurm started the session by speaking about the ten important lessons he learned from his entrepreneurial journey. He spoke about some of the events planned by his company such as the Neymar Jr. 5s and the planning that went into each of them. He encouraged the students to have a growth mindset and to keep learning along the way. He shared many inspiring life experiences which motivated the participants to read books, make short term and long term goals and maintain a daily journal. One of the most intriguing aspects of the session was learning about his experiences in creating and developing a new sporting discipline, Snow Volleyball and his efforts in introducing the game to the Winter Olympics.
He ended the session with the quote, “All of us out there are capable of rethinking what we see every day. What then makes the difference between an idea and a movement lies in who is willing to take the time to develop ideas and support them.”
